musicman130 Posted November 12, 2013 Share Posted November 12, 2013 I have been using LOR 3.1.4 for a few years now and was wondering if it is worth buying a new license to upgrade to the newest version? I have been running 10 controllers but next year I am going to be adding RGB lighting. Wasn't sure if the newer versions are better with RGB lighting and DMX or not. also, is there any reason to get the superstar since I will have RGB lighting next year? thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
k6ccc Posted November 12, 2013 Share Posted November 12, 2013 Particularly if you are going to RGB, you will want to at least look into E1.31 and that requires a newer version of license. Same thing with SuperStar. As you get more into RGB SS makes far more sense. Although my primary LOR use is my landscape lighting, I built a pixel tree for Christmas 2012. It was sequenced entirely in SS, and I can't imagine how much longer it would have taken to do that without SS. BTW, if you buy SS, or upgrade your license level, that will give you a year of LOR software upgrades. Personal opinion is just get the advanced license and SuperStar.
