m3chris
First year attempt I went with dumb strips. If I go ccr's next year, are you guys cutting them to wrap around the 90 degree corners of say my garage? If the 150 led strip is too short can I cut a strip and add more length? LightsinMaine
Simple answer.....yes and no (sort of). If you are using actual LOR CCRs their controllers can only control 1 strip. If you're going DIY then you could add extra on the end if needed.
sax
For my CCRs, I had to cut them to fit on my eaves. They were too long. For one of my CCR's, I cut it at the 17 and 34 pixel points, soldered them together with wire at 17 so I could make a 60 degree turn. If you need to you can cut and add wire between the pixels to position the CCR better. But the max one controller can handle is 50 pixels. So for up to 50 pixels one CCR but if you need 51 pixels then you will need 2 CCRs. Be aware that cutting the CCR voids the warranty. Also, if you are going to use Visualizer you will have to import the CCR as 50 pixels. My removed pixels are in still in Visualizer but I pushed them off to the side.
