canadianchristmas
This year I'm using 2 P2 controls from J1sys and a few 2811 pixel strings, My question is do I need to use J1sys's power injection boards or do I just splice the wires for the + and - leads and connect the power supply I drew a diagram and attached it. Will my way work? Thanks
k6ccc
The only difference I would do is to connect the ground between the two strips (along with the data). Continue to feed power and ground from the power supply to the second strip as you are showing it.

SoCalJimH
If you haven't yet, give the AusChristmasLighting_101_Manual a light read. Look at page 47 for for various power injection ideas. (good drawing there) With the WS2811's, adding power after 100 pixels does the trick very nicely. But, do some experimentation, see what you think for your conditions. Enjoy!
