Wal Mart, Lowes, Home Depot and Menards all sell rope light. (home lighting area)

Just look VERY CAREFULLY at what length they can be cut. I've seen 12', 18', 24' and not at all.

I used about 4 of these: http://www.menards.com/main/lighting-fans/indoor-lights/accent-lights/48-clear-rope-light/p-1721410-c-7490.htm

Hmmm... went up 2 bucks from last year... (there's a surprise   ;)  ))

I was thinking of trying a reel of this:

not sure exactly what "pearl" white is, but its the only white incans in stock...

Just to clarify...that is incandescent rope light. Not LED...if LED is what you want. I think Peal White rope the jacket is frosted white instead of clear?

I've always purchased my rope light from Action Lighting but haven't had to for some years. The 3/8 clear white 2-wire incandescent cuttable 18" is what I used and in stock. Had no problem except a section here and there will burn out. Usually within the first couple of days of using. Not uncommon. I don't know if their LED rope is dimmable.

The LED rope light from Christmas-led.com is cuttable every 20" which I've never seen. The smallest I've found is 30", but they want $290 for the white...ouch. I'm assuming no problem dimming? My plan for next year is to change to either LED Rope (at 20" cut, this would be perfect) or use LED RGB Modules....but cant see why I need to change colors of the face....yet.
