Ken Benedict
Wonderful project, fine job putting all that together. Close to $400 in parts alone. I wanted to do the same thing, but the closest I got was the Quad Scan from American DJ.Runs each scanner separately from a DMX line and only costs $260.I have run it from LOR's S3 using their iDMX1000 and some other software. I didn't have the thrill of making my own, though, like you did. If you're going to use these outdoors, are you going to add weatherproofing? DavBro
Yeah, looking for ideas on weatherproofing. I have spoken with Greg at Seasonal Entertainment and am going to get some blank Rainbow Spotlight boards and populate them with white LED's to see if I can get a more defined spot out of them. Not sure I need RGB for this application anyway. As for the price, that is the danger of one-off builds like this, you really don't know what the price will be until you get it all together. I was surprised when I added it all up. (EDIT: Oh, I just realized that who PondDude is! Glad you like them!)
