derekb
I have tried most things from searching the forums, but I haven't found a fix yet. I thought I would put this out there before contacting LOR support. I have 2 new CCR's. One of the controllers, when I run a sequence, turns lights on and off randomly for about the first 10-15 pixels in the strip. I have swapped controllers and ribbons and the symptoms follow the controller. I have reset the controller, checked to make sure it is not running in legacy mode, updated firmware. Anyone have any suggestions before I contact LOR? Thanks!
bob
Does it happen when you run any sequence, or when you run some particular sequence?
LOR Staff
In addition, check to make sure the controller is in 'Normal' mode and not 'Legacy'. Legacy some times does strange things.
derekb
Does it happen when you run any sequence, or when you run some particular sequence? I only have 2 sequences that I have made and it does it on both of those. Maybe I will try to get some from somewhere and test.In addition, check to make sure the controller is in 'Normal' mode and not 'Legacy'. Legacy some times does strange things. I double checked that. In normal mode.
bob
Is it possible that those sequences have more than one channel that are set up to control the same lights? Or that you have a channel set up for a light, but also a macro channel that's doing something at the same time? You could check for the first possibility with the LOR Verifier. If you have version 3.9.0, you can just tell the Verifier to verify a single sequence; if you have an earlier version of the software, though, the Verifier can only check your schedule, the shows in that schedule, and the sequences in those shows. So, you would have to make a show that contains that sequence, and then put that show somewhere in your schedule.

derekb
As simple test goes, Does the ribbon run the test pattern when holding in the reset button? SteveI checked with reset pushed and it goes through the color cycle just fine. Maybe it is my sequence. I am new at programming them. If anyone has a CCR sequence to toss my way to try, I would appreciate it. I looked through my sequence and do not see anything odd, but I certainly could have done something wrong. derekb
Well, it's fixed. I rebooted my computer and all the oddities are gone. I wouldn't have guessed that since I only had an issue wth one controller. Thanks for the help everyone!
