Mega Tree Advice

I want to make sure i am getting everything out of my controller for my mega tree. I bought a new controler this year, for my tree. Its a 30amp 16 channel. It is 10' tall. I have 8 white lights and 8 red lights. The question is. In order to do more colors i would have to get another controler. Correct or not.

Not necessarily, unless you want control of each individual string. My mega tree is:

12 channels clear, 12 strands of clear lights

1 channel for 12 strands of red

1 channel for 12 strands of green

1 channel for 12 strands of blue

3 channels for 3D star

1 channel for strobes

With this layout I can do spins, spot lights searches with clear, but not RGB.

You do something similiar if your goal is to add RGB without spending a $$ on additional controller(s).
