Flashing amber status light

So frustrated today. I spent since 10am today trying to set up sequences for my 1602mp3 and am not having any luck. When I plug the SD card in the controller boots up and just as I thinking I'm about to see the fruits of my labor....a flashing yellow status light.

Anybody have any advice?

I don't remember the colors, just the letters. E, R, C, P.

P is for power, and C isn't used. I can't remember what color the E and R lights are.

Which one was blinking?

The answer is going to depend on how the light was blinking. According to the docs..

Steady blink if the DC-MP3 is waiting for a scheduled show to start.

Blink twice, pause, blink twice, pause, … if waiting for an input trigger to start a show and/or waiting for a scheduled show.

So either you had a show loaded and were waiting on a show to start, or you set one up with a trigger.

As a test, create a show that will run anytime power is applied. If you are using the Simple Show Builder, then simply select 12:01a to 11:59p for your shows to run. If it doesn't run then, either your sequences are not set up correctly, you have a bad SD card, or the director has gone bad. (Or a number of other things, really.)
