Supported DMX Dongles

Recommended Posts

My understanding is that only the LOR, Enttec and Lynx dongles are "offically" supported....

http://forums.lightorama.com/index.php?/topic/16319-supported-dmx-adapters/

I have a customer trying the following dongle, but he cant get it to work and dont think it will....never tried myself. Just seeing if anyone else has had success with other dongles that are not "offically" supported?

Looks like problems with the drivers or the lack of them.

If your customer's not in a big hurry, check out http://www.ebay.com/itm/DMXking-ultraDMX-Micro-USB-DMX-Interface-OnBoard-Micro-/290706357595?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43af72fd5b

100% compatible with Enttec Pro.

I have several and they work great; very reliable.

Thanks Ken....

The dongle you link uses the DMX USB Pro Widget API Specification 1.44 open protocol which LOR supports...correct?

Also, if I'm I'm reading the specs correctly....works just like the Enttec Pro. Built in microproccessor and controls the DMX timing? Unlike the Open...correct?

Correct.

I recommend these to my customers and never had a problem.

Outboard timing and Enttec Pro compatible.

At $39, what more could you want?
