rangebob
I'm trying to do a mixed LOR/DIY show. I've purchased the Enttec Open controller and have it hooked up to the computer. LOR Network Preferences recognizes it as A5006JW7 and everything looks OK in LOR. I've attempted to make a 5 pin XLR to RJ45 cable with what I think is the correct hook ups on the cable.XLR RJ45Pin 2 (White) - Pin 4 (Blue)Pin 3 (Red) - Pin 5 (Blue/White)Ground - Pins 7&8 and 7 seperately. (Brown and Brown/WhiteI'm following the sheet from http://www.diylightanimation.com/wiki/index.php?title=General_Information_on_Dongle_Connections .I have the LOR Control Panel open. I've also programmed the pic with the DMX software. Thanks for any help.Bob

The actual answer depends on what you're going to plug the RJ45 into. If you're going to plug it into a LOR controller (which will then operation in DMX mode), then it goes:XLR - RJ452 - 43 - 51 (ground) - 6On the other hand, if you're connecting it to a DMX device that uses the RJ45 standard (like the ones from HolidayCoro or Seasonal Entertainment), then it goes like this:XLR - RJ452 - 23 - 11 (ground) -
dmoore
If you need an Enttec 5 pin XLR to standard E1.11 (pins 1/2), you can pick one up here:http://www.holidaycoro.com/product-p/cable-5xlr-cat5.htm
