Difference between the 1602W CTB16PC?

Is there any difference between the 1602W & CTB16PC controllers from an LED perspective? If I hooked my lights to both, would there be a difference?

I never thought there was until I read the description of the 1602 on the Mad Gab Sale page (http://store.lightorama.com/locolico1.html) and it says things such as "Super Dimmer" "Designed with LED Phantom Loads" "Dimming Curves" which is not listed on the CTB16PC page (http://store.lightorama.com/caascpa.html).

I believe all the assembled PC boards are gen3 and have phantom loads and multiple dimming curves. The solder yourself kits are still gen2.

Paul - I have heard that too. I am planning on picking up a few CTB16PC that are assembled: http://store.lightorama.com/caascpa.html, but want to make sure I wasn't missing anything I need by not buying 1602W.

I guess LOR's marketing is working as they are making me look harder at 1602W, thus spending more $$$

Not missing out on anything (except a UL listing). CTB16PC assembled boards also have the capacity to make the dimming curves.....If this is for your house (and not commercial) no need to go above the PC units

One that is missing on the pc vs the 1602d would be show control. So that you can download a animated sequence and control a smallish network of controllers. Along with as mentioned ul certification on the showtime metal boxed units vs plastic enclosures or your own design with the pc line. Also follow this link it will provide you knowledge from the source. To add to the above Comparing a little
