marsh28
For my Halloween and Christmas Show, I'm getting a few 36 Watt washlights from Ray Yu to light up the brick facade on my house. Here's a link to these lights.http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/701799/209863523-317209918/High-power-led-wall-washer-36-1W-RGB-1-meter-long-DMX512-compatible-AC100-240V-input.htmlAlthough these lights can be progammed via DMX, they need an outside controller. I asked Ray Wu and he suggested the following. http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/701799/209915969-307276523/USB-DMX512-Main-Controller-can-controlled-by-PC-P-N-SL2048FC.htmlSurely there is something out there cheaper than this, right? marsh28
Or, would this work by just using the Enttec Pro?
bdeditch
I don't think you would need Enttec by the way it looks, I like that controller!
Steven
Since I'm a satisfied Rainbow Flood Extreme customer, it would be really nice if you were to purchase one, and then compare it to this wall washer. The RFX is rated at 12W, and the wall washer is rated 36W. The RFX has 56 LEDs; the wall washer has 36. But the important difference is how their brightness compares, and there's no way to know until they are lit side by side. They are both controlled with DMX, meaning they could both be on the same network. The RFX requires a 12v power supply.
marsh28
STeven, I was actually able to try out a light similar to this one and the brightness is ridiculously bright. However, I have a dark brick house and this is the only light that will work. Also, like the Rainbow Extreme, these lights have a built in strobe so they convert LOR functions, such as shimmer and twinkle, pretty well.
