JHolmes
Hey everyone, here is my situation:I have a show that uses all DMX RGB floodlights. My USB Adapter connects to cat5 cables and then an adapter that connects to my DMX units. This all works fine.Today I added my 1602 into the network so I could control some strobe lights.I set the unit to 06 so the DMX network would treat it as channel 81-96.So now the network goes Computer-USB Adapter - 1602 - DMX unitsThe software is setup as a DMX network but when I try to run the show via the schedule or on-demand, it tells me the comm port is in use. However, no programs are on other than the control panel. What gives? JHolmes
Ok, I fixed the "Busy" part (it was a comm settings error). But the controller still refuses to do anything!
jeffl
Besides the firmware version I'm not sure. Here is a link to a LOR documents which I'm sure you already read.http://www.lightorama.com/Documents/DMX-DOC.pdf
JHolmes
Thanks Jeff, but you are right that I already consulted that.Suddenly it works. No idea how or why but it works and I'm happy .So I'm done and not going to mess with it
JonB256
I have experienced the unwillingness of an LOR board (DC board) to respond to DMX. And then it will. Usually have the best luck if I power cycle it while the DMX signal is present on the CAT5.
