fmbcad
Controller #2 - CTB16D ver 3 intermittent. It is the second controller in line of 4.I run a sequence, and after about10-15 min controller #2 shuts down. (by shut down I mean that all the lights connected to any of the 16 channels go out) No red light on the board, but Controllers #1,3,4 control lights properly. After about a minute, #2 comes to life again and after another few minutes, shuts down again. Then after almost a minute comes back to life. Then after a minute or so shuts down again, for good. Until, I physically unplug both power plugs, wait about 10 seconds, and plug them in again. Then the whole on/ off sequence starts again. What should I check, how can I check it? How can I fix it?thanks
-klb-
1) How much load is plugged in? Is the inlet cord and feed wiring adequate? Sometimes controllers will drop out if the inlet voltage gets too low.2) I would suggest checking the voltage regulator heat sinks, but I never have had my hands on a gen3 to know where they are, or what they look like..3) Have you done a controller reset? Check the controller manual for how to do it on a 3rd gen.
fmbcad
These are old controllers, from 05/06. I checked and switched power inputs, and the load is not great on any of the channels, 3-4 amps max channel, 11 amp total per side.I am still trying to figure out how to do a reset on the controller since mine doesnt have a jumper installed.I am going to borrow a controller to get me through the holidays, and play around with it in Jan. -klb-
For some reason I was thinking gen3. If you have dials:Turn power off. Set dials to 0 0. Turn power on. Observe faster blinking. Turn power off. Set ID on dials. Turn power on.
