Jim Hans Posted December 12, 2011 Share Posted December 12, 2011 I've had triacs go bad on me before, the channel just stays on and won't do anything when the show is running except stay on. On one of my controllers I have a channel which runs fine during the show. Turns on, shimmers, twinkles, fades. It just doesn't shut all the way off. It stays on all the time at like 10-15%.I switched a different set of lights onto it, same thing. Powered off the controller, same thing. It is the It is the PC CTB16PC gen 2 that I just got at this past inventory reduction sale.So here's my question...Can a triac partially go bad?
