I have found that with 3.1.4 if I have the control panel up and a show scheuled, that if I modify a sequence and attempt to run it for verification, the 'control lights' check marl will not stay checked and no output to the controllers. In order for it to work I have to unplug the 485 and re-plug it for the software to recognize it and the check mark to stay checked. i don't think this was a issue with 2.xxx

The Hardware Utility, Show Player, and Sequence Editor all try to control the comm ports. Only one of them can successfully do so at a time. If you have the Control Panel running and shows enabled, that means you have the Show Player running. So if you start up the Sequence Editor without disabling shows (or unloading the Control Panel) first, the Sequence Editor will not be able to control the lights, because the Show Player got there first.
