Steven
Here is an example in a regular case (click on the picture for a close-up):Here's a home-brew case. (You can't see it well, but the RJ45-ECS connectors are on the right side.):
jeffl
1). Zip tie both cat 5 cables to the controller.2). Hot glue the top of the two cat5 RJ45 and RJ11 connector to the board.3). If you can afford to, always have a spare extra bare controller board or full controller on hand.Speaking form experience. This is a cheap and effective solution to not ruin another light season. Max-Paul
John,So, there is no chance to trip on your 3/4 PVC conduit. Did you stake it down to the ground? I would think that there is still a chance of tripping and kicking the conduit that would pull on the Cat5.I mounted my controllers on a custom stake made of 2" angle iron with a 12" X 12" X 1/4" plate that is drilled and tapped. Once the stake is pounded into the ground. I mount my controller box. And the Cat5 cable is wrapped around the angle iron and a double overhand knot tied with about 2' tail going to the controller. It will trip you and maybe break one or more wires. But will not pull out the socket.
Dan Ancona
You could always use phone cable for the rub between 2 of the controllers ( in place of a CAT5)
