marsh28 Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 What are the capabilities of the Servo Dog controller? Next year I plan on building a animatronic skeleton that will talk and have a few servos to control other body parts. Can these servos all be tied in and sequenced with a LOR light show? Thanks.
Donald McBride Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Yes the servo dog works great for controlling servos in animatronics. I have used them in my Halloween displays for the last two years. The main thing in sequencing them in LOR is that the normal intensity level in the sequence is 50% (neutral setting for servo) and reducing intensity moves servo in one direction and increasing intensity moves servo in the other direction. It's kinda labor intensive, but well worth the effort.
marsh28 Posted November 15, 2011 Author Posted November 15, 2011 Thanks for the info. I want to make a talking skeleton that can talk, move its head back and forth, and move its arms. Would I be able to do all of these functions with one ServoDog controller or would I need more?
