Linda McDonald
Extremely impressed! How did you get the lights to stay? I'm thinking about rewiring a nutcracker with LEDs but can't figure out how to keep the bulbs from falling out the front.

The Pest
I would try some low temp. hot glue. or wrap the bulb sockets with a little bit of electrical tape.

The LEDs where a little bigger than the incans so I had to drill out each hole just big enough for the LEDs and applied hot glue as I placed each LED light in the hole. It actually went faster than I thought it would. Thanks to all for the comments. The LED conversion was well worth it as they look much crisper at night. Here is a shot from last year. JonB256
Tom, as nice as those look, I'm still struck by the fact that the snowflakes have 8 arms. Others I've seen have 5.They really should have 6. I know it's picky, but Santa doesn't have 3 arms. Sorry, had to vent. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why_do_snowflakes_have_6_sides

Sorry, had to vent. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why_do_snowflakes_have_6_sidesJon,I had a dream once when I was a kid. In this dream the snowflakes had 9 arms and Santa actually had 3 arms. I was a good kid that year and he was on a schedule. It's never happened again since. I don't get it. It was magic I tell ya, magic.... They could be indivually reproduced out of coro but would need to be some stiff stuff to hold up to the elements.

Santas Helper
Getting behind on posting updates here.I mounted my snowflakes the other day. Mounted 16 hasps on ther roof. Applied tar to keep from leaking. Placed each snowflake over each hasp. Cut a piece of foam to put on top of that. Placed the hinge part of the hasp over that and secured it with a spring clip. The foam piece keeps it snug so it wont shake and rattle in the wind. Speaking of wind, no worries with this set-up, at least under normal nasty weather. As mentioned in an earlier post, these were purchased from http://www.snowflakesinmotion.com and I replaced the incans with LEDs, 50 count.
