CLD Kevin
I was checking my firmware on all my controllers and noticed my CTB16PC is 4.30 which shows the latest on the lor download web, but I show 4.32 is avail in the hardware utility for S2 2.9.4? What is the difference and do I really need to update?Maybe it will help my LED floods fade better?
Jim Hans
I would wait for the G3 firmware update. That is the update which will have the LED dimming curve in it. 4.32 does not have special LED dimming properties.
-klb-
Also, check that your 120v LED is rated to dim. The majority of floods or screw in bulbs are on/off devices only, and can be damaged by dimming.
-klb-
CTB16-PC V1 boards are good for up to 4.32 V2 is 4.40 only. I think 4.32 added a feature relating to triggers. 4.40 adds support for V2 boards.
CLD Kevin
I cant really wait for the G3 firmware because I go live tonight with my Halloween show. I'll just leave the 4.30 for now.The PAR38 120v flood I have are supposely "dimmable", but they dont really dim that good. I also have Rainbow Floods, but not bright enough, so I wanted to add the floods I used last year.
Guest wbottomley
Just as an FYI... software and firmware version do but don't have a correlation with each other. S3 does not require Gen 3 firmware. Yes.... I said that right.
