DIO32 to run skull servos, VSA questions..

As some of you know, I have a large Pirates display for Halloween, 24' long, 24' three-masted Black Pearl, crewed by 14 talking skeletons..

I use a couple Lynxmotion SSC32 12vdc boards run by VSA (VisualShowAnimation) from Brookshire Software thru my laptop (has a serial port).. been using it abt 5yrs now. The lighting for the ship was just static, and I know it's very late to think about changing, but I'm considering moving to a DIO32 board and Advanced S2/S3 to run the servos so I can integrate LOR lighting with the show for next year (next years's theme is Corpse Bride).

VSA allows me to import an audio file (music or voice) which sets the amount and speed of the movement for each individual servo (by amplitude). Works pretty well. But it wont do lighting.

I dont know if I'm asking if anyone has used VSA with the DIO board or can I use S2/S3 and a DIO to run 4 servos for each skull (3axis + jaw) for the 14+ skulls.

(ship, as of Wednesday, masts & rigging go up Monday)

Hey TJ,
I can't answer your questions,
but your vessel is huge, and can't wait to see it covered with sea men..:D
I do know the DIO 32 can be configured to run 32 servo's.
The guy in the UK doing the christmas puppet band is using one for that.
