There is probably a better way but what I figured out is to take the intensity as a decimal and multiply it by 255. Those numbers then get inputted into the color fade tool custom colors.

As far as saving, the only way I know is to use the pull out menu on the left and save the tool. The problem I have with this is the colors on the computer have nothing to do with the colors on the CCR. For example hot pink, pink, and red all look the same on the computer display, so I just made a table of colors and their values and I input it into custom colors as I need them.
