Ah, here's the thread I was looking for. I posted this link elsewhere when I was unable to find this thread which was apparently hiding right in plain sight - always the last place I think to look... But since this is where it started I thought I'd post it here too. Sorry for the duplicate if you've already seen it.

Ghost Riders for Dale J, and a couple others I've been asked about for anyone who's interested:

George, Thanks for the vids yes as usual they are fantastic, what ever happened to them guys (The Ventures) i was hopping you could scoop your way across the street and shoot the Christmas show live, LOL

They're still playing and touring with two of the original members still with the band. Over 200 allbums released - no one seems to know for sure exactly how many. I saw them last about ten years ago at a summer festival. They're doing a casino somewhere in Ontario tonight and tomorrow.

Funny you should ask. I last saw them at a summer festival a few years ago too. (Same summer festival, but different year) And co-incidentally, it was John Fogerty who introduced The Ventures when they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Or did you mean my CCRs? Right now, they're both still mounted on a post that's sunk into frozen ground. While I've drawn the circle in the animation screen, I prefer to physically see them while sequencing - especially the spiral - so until I move the post back to its summer position or unmount the CCRs or get more during the first minute of the March sale, I won't be working on them.

According to the Weather Channel:

Snow will fall to elevations as low as 1,000 feet in the San Francisco Bay Area on Friday. By Friday night into Saturday morning, it's not out of the question that some flakes may fall as low as sea level in the Bay Area.
According to the National Weather Service, it has not snowed in downtown San Francisco since February of 1976.

One of my friends said she saw what looked like snow falling this morning at 9am. I missed that, as I only saw rain.

I remember as a child seeing the snow fall outside our house in 1976. It only lasted a few minutes then. Maybe tonight will be the 2nd time in 50 years.

Well we are expecting more snow here over the next four days which should give us a new record snow fall for the 2010/2011 winter months (so far). However we are going in a third week of a deep freeze at night.

So much for the ground hog day. We get at least 6 extra weeks of winter no matter if he sees his shadow or not. lol Actually closer to 12 more weeks of winter usually up this way.

No sooner it does it stop snowing then winter is here again.

Oh well that is how it is for us up this way.

Today I finally took down the last lights and clips and cords off of the roof and dumped it all in a disorganized way in the shed. Latest teardown ever for me. The guy wires went up a few weeks before Halloween so they were about 20 weeks! Yikes.

This is the first time I didnt sort and wrap the 100's of extension cords by size. May regret it next year.
