Dan C
I picked up some lighted candy canes from Wallmart on their after Christmas sale for $.25 each. I've got 8 red and 8 green.I was thinking about making a single pinwheel that has 12 total canes, alternating red/green. Has anyone done something like this?I was also thinking about making the frame out of 1/2" pvc tubing with 45 deg. corners to build an octagon frame for the back ground to attach the canes to.Just wondering how others have built theirs. George Simmons
The candy canes are zip-tied to the fencing. Attached files
JBullard
Mine is mounted to a fiberglass circle. Each cane has two strings of lights in them, one red and one clearhttp://vimeo.com/9257589
WhitePlainsNY
I built mine from attaching the candy canes to galvanized steel hardware cloth (fencing) with nylon fasteners. I cut off the plugs and soldered SPT cord onto the ends for a cleaner look. I trimmed the cloth to a circle so they would fit in the spaces on the front of my house. Each one is attached to the house with a single hook.Chuck Attached files
