radioguy1007
I just got a call from our local water utility inquiring about my light show. Apparently they are having trouble reading their wireless meters in the area, and thought my light show might be part of the problem. I do use ELL's to send the signals to the controllers. I told them I only run from 4:30 to 10:00, otherwise all power is turned off in the display using X-10 switches. I do leave the computer turned on 24/7 with an ELL on the interface, but I do know all the LED's in the controllers are flashing when there is no show in progress, so I assume that means no RF communication is going on. They did tell me that they found a rampant baby monitor in the area that was part of the problem, but they are still having issues.Does anybody know what frequency these water meters run on? I know LOR ELL's are up in the 900 MHz area, I thought baby momitors are a lot lower. Where are these wireless meters located frequency-wise? Has anyone else had an experience like this?Mike

rmturner54
I wonder how many TV's in the area are randomly changing channels?
