Guest guest
Looks like I have my first one..out of 4 controllers and all the futzing around to get going (and, not that I would admit it, a couple "oops" on the wiring side due to being in a hurry as darkness approached...), that's not bad.Channel sits at 17V no matter what...reset, etc. won't clear it. Assuming opto and/or triac...definitely an "after the season" repair..time to email Dan for parts...:?So (and no fair looking...I'll admit it had been years since I saw it written)...in the midst of looking to see if I could find specs on these triacs, I came across a blurb on triacs that gave the official definition for what "triac" is short for..Care to guess? It will take you back a few years...

Guest guest
Actually, the one that was a blast from the past was seeing it referred to as "TRiode for Alternating Current"...but yea, the triode reference is what made me smile...
