Ok may be a crazy question but here it goes...

Say I have 5 units .... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 all connected in that order with ethernet.

If unit 3 is powered down, will units 4 and 5 still receive the commands from the PC? Just curious about this and thought I would ask.

If you've connected all the units to each other using four CAT5 cables, then yes, the signal passes through even if units are turned off.
