ryanblazer
I followed the instructions to the "t."It said to remove the power jumper to attach it to a timer, with the 9v dc power attached. I turned on the timer and all of the sudden the internal board started smoking.Upon opening the unit back up, the chip next to the place where the jumper would go was fried.Would this be covered under warranty? I planned to launch the show this week.
rstately
Is it possible that the polarity was switched on the power supply?

If the polarity was switched the status LED wouldn't be flashing per the manual.
ryanblazer
Talked to Light-O-Rama today. Sounds like I had a bad board. It's covered under the warranty, so I will be getting a new one soon. YAY!
