Robert Burton
You know TJ that is a great idea! I have a carport window right next to the porch. That might be the way to go. This is an old Tripplite PR-25A. I have a nice Astron RS-35M on my bench. Also have a RM-50M that really could be swapped out for the 35amp...but both would be overkill big time.I am going to post another thread about the voltage differences on this type of power supply and the voltage needed for the LOR DC board.Thanks,RobertKD4YDCwww.georgiaskywarn.comwww.selinkedrepeater.netwww.burtonchristmaslights.tk
Surfing4Dough
So am I correct that either of these would properly power a CMB-16DC-QC board with 5 Rainbow Floods on it? If so, these seem to be the best deal I can find.250W 12V 20A Switching Led Power Supply DDH S-250-12http://cgi.ebay.com/250W-12V-20A-Switching-Led-Power-Supply-DDH-S-250-12-/180551495204?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0DC 12V 15A Universal Regulated Switching Power Supplyhttp://cgi.ebay.com/DC-12V-15A-Universal-Regulated-Switching-Power-Supply-/220649860672?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0What is the significance of the "Led power supply" in the first one? Or is that just another way of implying it is for DC output?

Really I can see nothing about LEDs that would make the power supply different other than say a power supply that is supplying power to a bunch of relay or other inductive loads. In the case of inductive loads there might be a better clamping circuit at the tail end of the supply. But really I think it is just some kind of marketing hyper boyl. Is the price inflated? Is the price inflated? It is an auction item that is presently at $9.99 (new) with $9 shipping. Figured it might be worth a shot. Here is a pic:The other one I listed above (15A) is a "Buy it now" sale and it is $23.80 shipped. That is my backup if I don't win the option (but wanted to check here first to make sure either of these would easily work). Appreciate the input! Guest guest
All the ones I'm seeing, and saw, on ebay before I bought mine are about the same...I posted a link for an ebay vendor with some 30A supplies if you need something that big...It really comes down to how much deal hunting and bidding you want to do...I would agree with Max..the "LED supply" description is marketing..I'd be skeptical if its any different from a design standpoint than any of the others being offered by various vendors...
