Donald McBride Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 I am planning on using several 3 axis skulls in my Halloween show. I am not sure if i will need the dio board or the servo dog or both. Can anyone clue me as to what hardware to use for this sequencing? Does anyone have a sequence showing a talking 3 axis skull. I haven't a clue as to the sequencing yet as i have just ordered the skull kits.
Bowshock Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Which skulls did you order? I've been trying to find inexpensive Lindbergh kits for a while.
Donald McBride Posted June 23, 2010 Author Posted June 23, 2010 Found some at http://graveyardskulls.com/ and bought others last year, can't remember where though. They are out of lindberg skulls for this year. They do have some refurbished skulls for sale.
TJ Hvasta Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 I still have three Lindberg skulls, NIB, $10/ea.. shipping would be flat-rate box ($9) and the skulls would be taken out of the boxes to fit in the flatrate box.. Bow, did you still want these? You never called/wrote back..As for the controllers, this is what you want.. I use 6 of them for my skeletons..http://www.lynxmotion.com/Product.aspx?productID=395This is the software you use to control the servos:http://www.brookshiresoftware.com/vsa_overview.htmSequencing for them is really easy, just time consuming.. same thing, takes abt an hour for a minute of speech.. I've been running Lynx controllers and VSA for almost 4 yrs with my halloween displays. 16 skeletons, these were on my workbench getting built: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZrvzuV-Y20Here is my Lynx controller video: First test of my skulls using VSA: Color coding my skull wiring: TJ
Bowshock Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Hi TJ,Sorry for not getting back to you. If the skulls are still available I'll definitely take them.We just need to figure out where/how to meet for the exchange.
TJ Hvasta Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 I'm at work but anytime this weekend (Fri-Sun) would be fine if you're free.. TJ
gizmomkr Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 TJ - just wanted to say thanks for sharing and those skulls look amazing.Thats a lot of labor into assembly and programing - but they look great.
TJ Hvasta Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Anytime Giz Halloween really is my fav holiday, lets me let my darker side out for a bit (insert evil laugh here ->) It's hilarious watching them come alive.. but just a lil spooky, late at night I hear them whispering amongst themselves :/
