Sequence Editor back up files idea

This free Editor program I use called EditPlus optionally makes a new backup for every change. It does this by appending the date and time to the file name and placing them in a backup folder user set. This allows me to go back several earlier versions if I save a mistake.

You can see the year month day and time I was working.

That looks like a great idea. I try to remind myself to save frequently but there's still times when I get zoned in on something and suddenly an hour and a half has gone by. Of course, Murphy says that's when disaster will strike and all that rot...
