I was thinking of getting 1 or two. What is everyone using and is it just plug into a channel and program the channel on?

Good evening

a good many folks on here use dmx protocol

the idmx from LOR has a learning curve but is not

extremely difficult gives great flexibility to the type of

lighting devices you can utilize in a show

any dmx capable device is going to be more expensive

than on off devices

snow machine with dmx control will allow the volume of

snow made to be controlled by sequences

do a little research on dmx equipment

addressing is different but no more complex than LOR

the iDMX1000, I couldn't find installation / setup instructions online looking at it on LOR's product site. How does it interface into the rest of the equation. I know there's the serial USB converter which hooks up to CAT5 for the LOR controllers. How does the iDMX "get plugged in" to the network. I saw the face has the XLR connections. Does the back have CAT5 that you run wire from a LOR controller into it. If I can just get a link to a manual and I can read through it that would be awesome. I'm liking the idea of DMX and the possibilities it opens.

anyone have any luck with the DJ snow flurry. I know it's not DMX but just trying to weigh all my options. If you do use the DJ snow flurry how do you use it with light o rama and the controllers? some type of relay used with the included remote or something DIY???
