Setting up the channels on a mega tree

Hey folks, I understand how to set up the tree. Mine will be a 10' 8 slice 3 color tree. 16 strands /color.

Were I'm still a little confused, is how do you number the layout on the tree.

Is channel 1 at 12 o clock on the fron/back of tree. Then do you take the light sections clockwise from there, for all of your 16 channels.

Or is it mostly predicated, on the sequence itself. This is my first year to try a mega.

To save a little time and trouble...gasp! I purchased some pre done from wowlights.

I would say that it is personal preference. I have done mine several different ways and for me, the easiest is to start channel 1 in the 3 o'clock position and go clockwise.

I do as Denny. Looking down onto the tree, the street would be at 6, slice 1 starts at 3 and proceeds in a clockwise position.

Thanks guys. Will check that out. I think the wowlights seq. start on 1 in the back, for the sequences.

I also make many tracks to organize colors. I make a track for entire display green, red, etc. including the trees. Seems to work for me quicker if I want to turn on all of one color.
