maxall777 Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Does anyone know of a good FM transmitter that my LOR mp3 player will work good with. I purchased one called a whole house transmitter but it didnt work very well.
iresq Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Time is going to be an issue. This looks like a good deal. http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Ramsey-FM25B-Pro-FM-Transmitter-Kit-Wired-Tested_W0QQitemZ250525796907QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3a54804a2b#ht_500wt_956
-klb- Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Have you tried that transmitter against a PC with the volume set at different levels? If that works better, the issue may be that the audio out on the MP3 director may be at too high a volume. Radio shack and others sell a cord that is intended to be used as an in line volume control for headphones. It can be used to lower the levels from the MP3 director going to the transmitter.
Bubba in NV Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 I used the Ramsey FM 25b for 3 years now. Halloween and Christmas. I got the mini director w/mp3 at the summer sale and it works fine also. Computer or minidirector either way it works fine. Dont use a plug in the wall transformer for your audo device power, get a good stand alone 12 volt power supply. Put a couple choke coils on the power wire.
