I just got a new show computer, but never upgraded my sequences from last year.

Is the LOR2 software backwards compatible that it will run v.1 sequences?

also, since the sequences don't use any of the newer v.2 features can I run them without having to upgrade the firmware, or will the v.2 software force the firmware upgrade?

But yes ver 2 will convert your sequences into its format when you run them the first time. Then it will save them in a ver 2 format.

They will not run under ver 1 after the conversion though, so you should make a backup copy of them in another folder or under another name in case you want to save the ver 1 formats for any reason.

If you don't use the new features, and don't use LED, then you should be fine leaving the controllers with the old firmware. If you do use LED, there may, for some users, be an improvement in how LED's dim with 4.30 and newer.
