We had 48 separate strands of lights, clear, red, and green, hanging from 8 pulley sets. The 8 outer pulleys were set in a half circle, about a foot from the wall, with an additional 8 pulleys up against the building, so that only the tension on the actual strands of lights generated torque on the bracket.
