Error Saving File

Have upgraded show computer, old HP Omnibook, to v2.4.8

It will play a sequence and control the hardware

I try to edit a sequence and save the file the message is:



Error Saving File

Error saving file... do you want to try to save to another file name?

Detail: ActiveX component can't create object.



I also can not save to another file name.

Any help would be appreciated. I am sure this is a windows issue, since my desktop running Vista has no problem like this after the 2.4.8 update.

I am having the same issue. I was running 2.3.8 and upgraded to 2.6.0, but i am still getting the same error message. Any ideas?

Are you also unable to save as a different name? If you can save as a different name, one issue was having the file open in excel as part of a power calc spreadsheet, resulting in the file being locked from other access.

If you are unable to save as a different name, there may be a windows component missing. I am trying to remember which one bob has indicated in the past.

never did figure out what was missing on my laptop

I gave up (LOR was doing their best to help)

the laptop was running 98se

upgraded to xp and saving issue went away
