Tracks... How do I use 'em?

I want my arches to be on a separate timing than other elements in my display. I understand that this is done with tracks. But I'm really not grasping how to do this. Is there are tutorial anywhere that could help me?

With 2.3.8, you no longer need separate tracks. You can create a separate timing grid, and set up the timings for the arches in that timing grid, and select which grid is active depending on which elements you are working on. You can still create a separate track, with just the arches copied from your first track, or all the channels duplicated from your first track, and keep a different timing grid selected on that track.
