chowell
When you export channel configuration, will it save the tracks you've created also or just the channel configuration for the main track? If not, is there a way to save your tracks to be used with each new song you create?Corey

bob
Please be careful, though - there's an important caveat to importing multitrack channel config files into multitrack sequences. For details, please see the following in the help file:The Light-O-Rama Software Package / Sequence Editor / The Menu Bar / The Edit MenuOn that page, please look at the section "Export and Import Channel Configuration", and especially its subsection labelled "Important note". Dennis Cherry
I figured that out last year. Make a standard channel configuration with the tracks you want to use for all your elements. Keep the Main Track with a copy of all tracks. The order of the channels in the main track must remain the same for all sequences.Export the channel configuration to a new name. When you want to import the new Channel Configuration into an existing sequence, FIRST save the sequence file to a new name so your original file stays intact. Import your channel configuration and check that it did not overwrite or change the original channels of the sequence. If it did UNDO the export and figure out what channels have to be moved to match the new Channel Configuration. This is important to have all your sequences using the same CF to make updates and adding more channels eaiser. It took me a couple of days to figure out my CF using tracks. Now it is a breeze to make new sequences.bob wrote: Please be careful, though - there's an important caveat to importing multitrack channel config files into multitrack sequences.
