roknjohn
I'm thinking of buying a 3D printer, because who doesn't need another hobby? One possible use could be to print snowflakes or other props, with snap in bulbs or other luxury. Larger props could be printed in folding or snap together pieces. Anyone doing this? The prefab coro and other props that I have seen are ridiculously priced, IMO.
k6ccc
Yes, that has been done before. Sorry, don't have any details.
Tim Fischer
There's a lot of 3D printed accessories for displays out there. And a few props too. One is the Mega Mini... you can get the files for these out on cults3D. I had to modify the files a bit to work with our printer (they were too tall) but they worked out great. I printed a dozen last year and used them two seasons now. http://plymouthlights.com/construction/big-pixel-bulbs-2/
