Brad Stucky Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 I believe I've discovered a little quirk when opening files by file association directly from file explorer. I've confirmed this on 2 computers, one with windows 11 and one with windows 10. If you open file explorer and double-click on a "loredit" sequence, the sequence editor will open with the file as it should, but when you close the file, the memory is not released by the editor. I discovered this when opening several files from file explorer. When I then closed them and started opening others, I soon discovered that playback was affected. The screen stopped scrolling ( audio kept playing, though) I waited a short bit and then the scrolling caught up. I've got 16gig memory in both computers where this was verified. Once I quit doing this and opened the files directly from the editor, I no longer had this problem. 1
