Looking for 16 channel sequences for 2000s dance music - or how to make them...

Hello, my fellow creatives..

Can anyone direct me on how I can make sequences from a playlist of 2000s dance music if I purchase the mp3s...

I'm pretty tech savvy and have only used the controller one year so far - on short time also; my son did the set up last year. I would like to program/create my own sequences. Something simple as we are using a 16 channel controller. 

I don't have a lot of spare time, but I would love to use my christmas decorations in sync with the music that will make the 40-something moms go crazy (me). lol I'm also a musician and this will be played through a PA system. 

We've done themed light shows in the past (Peanuts, etc.), but the lights synced were with individual controllers. I'd like to do something different this year. Perhaps, start with Oops...I did it again...because my intention is also to  enter and (hopefully) win the neighborhood contest. I have about two weeks to work on this. 

This would be a fun family project for us. Any direction is much appreciated.
