How to create a Tree 360 Up&Over where each strand is a different color traditional light

I have a segment tree made up of 8 light strands which go up and over a center pole, as described below. Each strand is a single color rope light as follows:

String 1: Red

String 2: Blue

String 3: Green

String 4: White

String 5: Red

String 6: Blue

String 7: Green

String 8: White

Each strand maps to an individual channel of my LOR controller. How do I model this such that the preview displays each color per strand correctly? In the old LOR software (V4) I had I was able to do this fine, however this version I'm not quite sure how to not end up with all strands being all colors (multi).

Any help would be appreciated.

Try setting number of folds in each string to 1 , I would also play with changing type to channel by color .
