Help with running led lights through the controller

I am new and a little lost.  I successfully downloaded the firmware.  Through the hardware setup, I have created network and I have tested the lights.  So, I know on the hardware side I have successfully connected everything.

On the software side, I was trying to build a preview but when I add my lights.  It is labeled "String01" but it doesn't seem to be routed through the controller (Unit1:01).  In preview, how do I ensure my programming for the lights is actually routed through the controller to controll the lights.

To view the actual lights while Playing the in the Preview Player - 1) Control Panel Must be Running - 2) Control Lights Must be enabled...  Right Edge of Sequencer - Control Lights tab - check control lights
