Unit ID resetting back to Unit # 1

I am doing some testing and adding new props to my display. When I add a new prop I set the Unit ID with the LOR Hardware V6.1.10. Pro. But when I unplug the unit the controller resets to Unit  1. Does anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong?

The controller likely has a DIP switch set, which takes precedence over what is set in the hardware utility when power is cycled.
