HDPE 6ft tall cone shape

I'm looking for a HDPE large mini mega tree.

It needs to be 6ft tall and has 50 pixels per column with 24 columns.
Total pixels would be 1200.

Like this but much bigger.

Does anyone know if this beast exists?

24 columns in 6' ?

the top would be a massive bundle in 1/2" PVC

I am in the process of making PVC sections to hang under my gutters (3Y of sun got my plastic plumbers tape). I am using 12mm bullets on 2" centers (6'is about 36 nodes. 16' per 100) 1/2"PVC is about 1" OD making the top circumference ~24" 😮

I have 16 columns right now at 50 nodes each. Spacing is 1" and my tree is just a tad over 6ft. But the frame is PVC pipe. I was thinking that a giant cone might be easier to work with. Plus all you need to do is unfold it and store it away in the garage.

My new house has one of those toy 2 car garages. So space is an issue for me.

But who knows if one even exists. Or even if it's cost affective. I have a year to figure it out and my backup plan is to take my 16 column tree to 24. I am thinking I may have to make it a little taller and increase the center top to twice it's size, but it's doable. My current tree is 1" spacing. I am torn on if I should keep it there and move it 1.5" spacing.

Looks like Gilbert Engineering will make me one. Let's just hope that it unfolds for storage as easy as I envision.

I see they already have something similar but it's $1250 and made with strips instead of a cone.

I am also changing my 180 mega-tree from 16 to 24 this year, and hoping to add a 2nd one on the other side of the yard (time permitting).  I am already on 1.5" spacing with 100 pixels, so with a foot on either end makes it 14.5' tall.  For me the 1.5" spacing works since my tree is viewed from a distance.  Of course with the increase I also have to change the size of the disc at the top to attach them all.  Gotta get the Halloween show done first. :)

Hey Kurt, Is your website still around? I was going to view some of the videos of your tree but it seems to be dead in the water.

@gsmith37064  Hmmm...they seem to work for me.  Videos are all out on a YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtZyvfC1czzkl3566OZMLeg

A google seach for WoodleaHillsLights will reveal it and the FB page.

My latest tree with the 16 strands of 100 bullet pixels and 1.5" spacing was new in 2022.  Previous years it was 16x100 pixel strips.

@gsmith37064 Nevermind...I see the problem you described.  The problem is the GoDaddy site that redirects you to the YouTube channel.  I will get on that. :)  But you can go direct to the channel using the link in my previous response.

@gsmith37064 Turns out I had to manual fix my LOR Forum signature block under settings using the HTML inspector.  Even though I changed the https reference to http in the text, the save to the signature block kept the underlying reference as https.  Link works now.  Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Who does your video editing? The transitions are smooth without interrupting the song. Nicely done!

Thanks! I do it all, using Mac iMovie.  I record all the video angles with a small FM radio plugged into the camera so that I have a sound marker.  I line up the cuts being overlayed using their audio spectrums overlayed on the one for the base video, and then once video editing is done I overlay the original sampled music on the entire thing and suppress the audio originally recorded on the videos.  I do spend a bit of time making sure the transitions visually flow for the given spot and do not distract from the presentation.  Sometimes they bleed between scenes, at different rates, and sometimes it is a quick jump.

It is amazing how often someone will stop in front of the house at like 1am to watch as I record. I try to do it in off hours, but not sure if there really ever is a good time.

I bought a new Mac this year and took the plunge on Final Cut Pro which allows way more possibilities for editing.
