Cstmkr
Hello!! I have sets of 100 full wave LED lights that I line my sidewalk with. They are all installed into 1" X 2" pieces of wood on the ground. We have since added a walkway, and I do not want to block it with the lights. Does anyone know if it is possible for me to splice this three wire full wave LED set and add four feet of SPT wire into it to span the new walkway? I am not adding or subtracting any lights, just adding some wire. I did not know if the inline rectifier might be affected by the longer length. Any thoughts?? Thanks!! Godney
Done it many times, just remember to cut one wire at a time to splice so you don't confuse them with which one goes where since usually their is three wires. and no it will not affect the rectifier
TheDucks
You typically need 3 wires. (outlet at the end, another 'segment' of a longer string) SPT is only 2 wires. Do pay attention to matching up the wires exactly. Polarity to the LEDs matters. A set of hash marks done with a Sharpie before cutting is a plan. / // /// ------- / // ///
