RJ45 vs RS45

Hi all,
it is safe to say that a RJ45 patch cable is the same as RS45 cable? Or will I need to make some custom RS45 cables? If I do make some RS45 does anybody have a wire diagram for both ends?

It looks to me the RS45 is pretty straightforward and straight thorough.
Pin.   ColorWire>>>>Pin.  ColorWire
1       SO                      1       SO
2       O                        2       O
3       SG                     3       SG
4       G                       4       G
5       SB                     5       SB
6       B                       6       B

Those pin outs are wrong (the pairs). You want EIA 568B (same as Ethernet) For us pins 4 - 5  is the most important, the pair 3-6 is used for Auxiliary powered device.

The same plug is used for different services. The PAIRING varies. Pairs reduce cross talk. A standard RJ cable tester will validate the cables against X-over pairs

Ethernet can use either 568A or 568B wiring.  Just make sure both ends are the same.

You are correct, but ready made patch cables seem to all be 568B.  Nothing worse than replacing a broken end to find it was the other
