timC Posted June 17, 2022 Share Posted June 17, 2022 I've successfully made the switch to S5 Pro, after 4 years of Halloween & Christmas lights using S4 Advanced. I'm in the process of adding RGB arches (Pixie 4) to my Halloween & Christmas shows. I currently use 3 AC controllers, 2 dumb controllers and the Pixie4. In the Motion Effect Generator: Q1 - Besides the 2-3 videos on the LOR Support site, is there any other documentation, videos, etc to help learn how to use the Motion Effect Generator...or is it trial & error?? Q2 - How do you determine the "Speed" setting for an effect?? Since the motion effect speed isn't related to the to the media beats/minute, is this just a trial & error setting until the light motion speed matches the song's beat?? Q3 - i'm trying to create what i would describe as a "windshield wiper" effect (L-R-L-R-etc, etc, etc), so i can bounce the lights on the arches back & forth with the media beat?? I experimenting with the Scanner effect, left_and_right pattern...which should work. I didn't find anything similar in the "Favorite Effects" window.
