idapopo3
I have the 16 channel MP3 version. I am tired of being the newbie with only 16 channels. I think I am ready to upgrade to 32 channels. Do I just purchase another 16 channel controller and link them with a CAT5 cable and do I have to have any special electrical done to my house. I am using a sub- panel in my garage and as long as I use a seperate outlet on the opposite side of the gareage, I should be fine. Thanks
iresq
Yep, just add a second board. Link with cat 5 or telephone wire. For the electrical side, you need to understand what loads you will be running. This will determine your electrical needs. If, for example, you were running all leds, you could probably get away with both controllers on a 15 amp. circuit. The other extreme would be a requirement of 4 20amp circuits (or 2 20amp and 2 15amp if your second controller was a PC).There is an excellent power usage utility floating around hear and on Planet Christmas. This will help calculate your actual power needs.
idapopo3
iresq,Thanks.... As much as I would like to run all LED's, That would be too costly (for now) I will look for the electrical guide.
